Staying Positive As It Gets Darker & Duller

As the cold, dark and early winter nights draw in, it's really easy to fall out of routine and become tired, exhausted and demotivated. There's a lot of people out there (me being one of them), who absolutely adore the winter season, because what's not to love about autumn and Christmas?! BUT, even for those of us who like this time of year, we still find ourselves slipping out of habits and becoming really tired and lazy, which is perfectly understandable. It's even harder for the summer lovers who would do anything to be back in the 20 degree heat with ice-creams and bikinis. So, I thought I would come up with a few tips to help you stay positive and be as productive as you can as it gets darker and duller!

A Seaside Scrapbook | Scarborough

Photography is something I've always had an interest in over the past couple of years, but recently my passion for it has become a little more serious. So I've decided to show you just a few pictures that I took during my week away in Scarborough by the sea - for those of you who are into photography. These are just practice shots so I thought that I'd make a little virtual scrapbook to document them & start off my photography portfolio!

A Tribute To My Best Friend ♡

It's been almost three years since I lost my best friend. If you have ever lost a family pet, you'll understand the pain and the grief that comes when you have to let your baby go. I still think about my little fat lump every minute of every day. Nelson was the softest, most loveable little dog I've ever met, and the bestest friend I could've wanted. He was put to sleep at the age of seventeen, so he really was an oldie. But it's coming up to Christmas and because he particularly loved this time of year (free food, helping us unwrap presents) I thought I'd do a little tribute post just for him. Love you Nelsie xx

Autumn Outfits On A Budget.

Christmas is around the corner, and summer is nothing but a distant memory, which must mean that it's autumn. I'm honestly no fashion guru but one thing I do know is that I had to update my wardrobe for autumn as I really couldn't hack the going out in a crop top when it's -1 degrees look. As a student, I don't consider myself as very financially stable lol, which is why I've decided to create a little lookbook of my autumn outfits on a budget, to perhaps help other suffering students out too when shopping for the new season.

Collection Review | Fave Drugstore Brand

Being a student who works part-time along side College, as much as I would love to, I really can't afford luxurious make-up brands unless I save up for months. So, this is why drugstore make-up brands are my actual life saver because I can actually afford them. Personally, I think that drugstore brands can be just as good as any other high-end brand, especially the brand Collection. Collection are my fave drugstore brand as everything they use just seems to suit my skin and complexion really well. So, today I'm going to be sharing my fave Collection products & reviewing them!

Getting My Sh*t Together

Getting your sh*t together can actually be a long process. It was about a week or two ago when I decided that it was about time I got mine together, and it’s a work in progress. It started off by having a mental break-down, which admittedly, we all occasionally have (and that’s okay btw). So I decided enough is enough, I got together soooo many different inspiring quotes that meant something to me, and decided to go by them and become more positive. This is much easier said than done, and although I have definitely become a little bit more positive, I’ve still found myself falling back into old habits and old mentalities. So, today is the day I have decided I finally get my sh*t back together again, and here’s how.

Brown To Blonde | My Experience

I feel like every girl can understand the phase we go through of wanting to be every single hair colour but your own. Literally me. I've been 50 shades of brunette, I've been black, ginger, red, purple, you name it. I've even had ombre, and I feel like we all go through our ombre phase. I do love a good ombre tbh. But something I've always wanted to try, being naturally very dark, is going full on blonde, so this year I decided to take the plunge and completely transition to blonde! I have some progress pics and I'll basically just be talking through my experience of going brown to blonde in 6 months.

Getting My First Make-Up Qualification! | Bridal & Special Occasions Make-Up Accredited Course

Being your typical teenage girl, something that I like to do in my free time is experiment with make-up. I like to practise make-up on myself and also on others. Now I've said this before and I'll say it again - I'm not the worst at make-up but I am certainly not the best. But this is something that I've wanted to change, so I decided to save up and go on an online course specifically to gain an accredited make-up qualification! I thought that not only will it widen my career options in the future, but also give me more practise, confidence and also something to do in my free time :)

Positive Affirmations You Need To Hear

Positivity is something that we all need in our lives, whether it's just a little bit or a hell of a lot. If we all had a positive mind-set 24/7, the world would be a much happier place. This is much easier said than done, and sometimes the reality of life can get us down, even for the silliest of reasons. So, if you're needing a bit of a boost then I have got together some of my favourite positive affirmations that we all need to hear.

5 Reasons You Should Always Keep It Real

There can be a lot of pressure when it comes to being yourself and not worrying about what other people think. Trust me, I know. I'm literally the biggest worrier ever, but this is something I've been able to get under control lately and it has helped me out a lot. Living in a society that's constantly changing and growing, it's so important to be yourself and stand out for who you are, not who you think people want you to be. If you start hiding your true personality and who you really are as a person then you'll eventually find yourself feeling isolated and unhappy and also to put it bluntly, fake. Not every single person you meet is going to like you or necessarily get you, but that's okay and it's something you just have to deal with.

I think anyone in the world can pretty much agree that Yankee Candle's are in fact the BEST smelling candles to ever exist. If you've never smelt a Yankee Candle, then you honestly haven't lived and you need to try one. Like, now. Because they smell so damn good, it's hard to pick a few favourites as they all smell amazing in their own ways. But, after lots of hard thinking and smelling I have carefully picked out some of my top fave smelling Yankee Candle's to review and recommend for you!

A Setting Powder To Avoid

Being someone who is regularly looking for genuine reviews, whether it be make-up products, skincare or even homeware items, you can sometimes stumble across a few fake reviews. The point is, I look for honest and trustworthy reviews so I know that I'm going to get my money's worth for sure. So for this reason, I am always 100% honest when I review products, and this is why I like to review things truthfully for other people to read and for it to help them out, just like I have been helped out by others! So today I'm going to be reviewing the 'Technic Colour Correcting Setting Powder' and let me put it bluntly...it's not a great review.
